Title
Royalism and Honor in Aphra Behn's Oroonoko
Subject
Oroonoko
Description
Even though alot of scholars consider Alpha Bern's work Oroonoko as an anti-slavery work, the idea that 'it is pro slavery and is against the slavery of the Royal prince is also very popular'. Anita Pacheco writes:- "Behn is repelled not by slavery per se, which is unobjectional when it involved common people, but by the enslavement of a prince, born and brought up to command others."
