An introduction to 18th-century British Theatre

Subject

Theatre

Description

This article includes many different interpretations of the British Theater. This image in particular is an interpretation of how chaotic the acceptance in the pit area of the theater was during the time period. Due to the increased popularity during this time, the theater was an important part of the 18th century and this illustration articulates the fact that people of the low economic status would do anything to get in.
