Title
A Harlot's Progress; Plate 3
Description
Plate 3 of a 6 part series depicting the downfall of a young girl Moll hoping to become a seamstress in London. However, she is tricked into prostitution and becomes a mistress for multiple men. This image represents Moll years after corruption and after she has committed multiple crimes and sins. However, she doesn't appear to be guilty of her crimes as she is more focused on showing off her jewelry rather than the police entering her house. Her dire situation makes us pity her, however, should that be a justification for her crimes?
